2 - Net Art and its Prehistories in Code Art
Since discovering net art and post digital art earlier in the course, I have always been inspired by it. My assignments led me to research artist such as Olia Lialina and Cory Archangel and their work have inspired some of my assignments. Net Art is the practice of using the internet and its material to create some form of art. Some artists use coding to create something abstract and others use it asthetically. In reference to code art, an artist named Jon Satrom is some one that immediately comes to mind. A lot of his work centers around coding and glitch art. Together, they created an app to intentionally corrupt JPEG files and a programto corrupt directories of data.
